What is cost per wear?
Cost per wear is the price of a piece divided by the number of times you actually wear it. A coat that costs a lot but is worn all winter for years can be cheaper per wear than a trendy top worn twice.
How does this calculator work?
For each piece you enter the price, how many days a week it really enters your rotation, and how many years you will keep it. We estimate lifetime wears as days a week times 52 times the years, then divide the price by that. It turns a shopping haul into one clear, comparable number.
