Aegean vs Ibiza: Two Ways to Pack for a White-Hot Summer
Two of summer's most stylish coastlines, two slightly different uniforms. Here is how to pack for the calm, linen Aegean and for Ibiza after dark, with mix-and-match edits for both.
Coastal summer style is not one look. The Turkish Aegean (think Alacati and Cesme) leans calm and tonal: washed linen, barefoot neutrals, a whites-only palette borrowed from the whitewashed streets. Ibiza turns the same white base up: crochet, slip silk, and a beach piece that walks straight to a sundown bar.
The Aegean: quiet, tonal, linen
On the Turkish coast the vibe is understated. Keep the palette to whites, ecru, and sand, add one small pop stolen from the bougainvillea, and everything you packed will combine. Linen and viscose do the heavy lifting; the town supplies the color.

A whites-only palette
Alacati's whitewashed walls are the styling brief. Pack tonal whites and ecru only and every top will land with every bottom. The town does the color for you.
One pop of color
Against all that white, a single fuchsia note (a scarf, an earring, a woven bag) is the whole outfit. Steal it from the flowers spilling over every doorway.

A clean white swimsuit worn as a bodysuit under linen trousers is the fastest beach-to-bar trick there is. Buy the swim piece you would happily wear as a top.
